Warsaw Targówek Head-On Collision Results in Injured Driver

One individual involved in a head-on collision on Warsaw’s Targówek has been apprehended by police, while the other fled on foot.

Collision Details

At approximately 9:20 PM, a collision occurred at the Rzeczna Street curve on Warsaw’s Targówek district between a Volkswagen Lupo and a Fiat automobile.

Accident Causes and Aftermath

The Volkswagen driver, along with a passenger, fled the scene on foot, leaving their damaged vehicle behind. The 58-year-old female Fiat passenger sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Police Investigation

Local road patrol police, municipal traffic officers and a dog handler responded to the scene. Due to intensive efforts, police arrested a 31-year-old man from his home early in the morning, who was later determined to have been involved in the incident. The arrested individual was sober at the time.
