Jarosław Kaczyński, the leader of Poland’s ruling party, failed to appear in court for a reconciliation hearing with opposition politician Krzysztof Brejza, who maintains that the truth will prevail.
Judicial Proceedings for Reconciliation
Kaczyński was expected at the Regional Court in Warsaw on Tuesday, September 16, for a reconciliation hearing with Brejza. The case, filed as a private indictment, involves claims of defamation.
Brejza’s Response
Opposition politician Krzysztof Brejza said Kaczyński “blew off a chance to reconcile,” calling the situation caused by the truth. “The truth is merciless and Jarosław Kaczyński will answer for insults. Another hearing is scheduled for November 4th.”
