Polish journalist Katarzyna Stoparczyk was laid to rest in Warsaw on September 17, after being killed in a car accident on September 5.
Funeral and Tributes
During the funeral at the Church of St. Jack in Warsaw, two young men read out messages from Katarzyna Stoparczyk’s closest family and friends. One of them said: “Kasiu, it’s not me who’s supposed to speak. You were the one with words, and you always hit the mark. You were always there for the world and had attention for every person you met.”
Family’s Emotional Response
The family expressed their despair and grief, stating: “We don’t want to say goodbye to you… Nothing can express our sorrow; it’s unspeakable. We wouldn’t have made it, Kasiu, if not for the love you left us.”
The family also thanked those who attended the funeral and mentioned that they were not prepared for this loss.
Circumstances of Death
Katarzyna Stoparczyk died in a car accident on September 5, at around 2:45 pm, on the S19 expressway in Jeżowe, Poland. The accident involved two vehicles, and two passengers died, while three others were injured.
Burial and Legacy
The urn with Katarzyna Stoparczyk’s ashes was laid to rest at the Powązki Cemetery in Warsaw, in section K, row 16, grave 1B.
