Mysterious Lights Over Warsaw: Source Traced to Citadel Event

On the night of September 16-17, mysterious streaks of light were seen over Warsaw, likely linked to an event at the Citadel.

The night of September 16-17 saw rapidly moving streaks of light visible over Warsaw, reflecting off low-hanging clouds. These lights were reported by readers as intense, focused beams directed upwards, moving in a fan shape and clearly outlined on the clouds.

The characteristics of the lights matched those of floodlights used for outdoor events, and the location of sightings corresponded to the Citadel area, where an evening event was taking place. On September 16, the Museum of the History of Polish Jews hosted a closed event marking the premiere of “1670,” part of the “Royal Harvest Festival 1670” celebrations.

The event included an evening program, and entertainment services reported the presence of invited guests. Given the coincidence of time and place, the light streaks visible from many districts were likely part of the lighting for the “Royal Harvest Festival 1670” at the Museum of the History of Polish Jews.

Interested individuals could visit an exhibition at the Museum of the History of Polish Jews from September 17-21 and enjoy outdoor attractions planned for the “Royal Harvest Festival 1670” over the weekend.
