According to Julia Navalna, laboratories in two different countries conducted separate analyses and reached the same conclusion that Navalny was poisoned.
Circumstances of Navalny’s Death
Navalny died on February 16, 2024, in a penal colony where he was serving a sentence. Julia Navalna described the events leading up to his death, stating that Navalny was taken for a walk around 12:10 pm and soon began feeling unwell.
He was found on the ground, clutching his stomach and chest, and was not taken to a medical facility immediately. Medical personnel were called over 40 minutes after he started feeling unwell, but he was already unconscious.
Navalny’s Criticism of Russian Government
Navalny was a vocal critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin and advocated for anti-corruption efforts and government accountability.
In 2020, he was hospitalized with suspected poisoning and later treated in Germany. Upon returning to Russia in 2021, he was arrested and sentenced to 19 years in prison.
