Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk pays tribute to soldiers who fought against Soviet and Nazi aggression in 1939, emphasizing the need for a strong and united Poland.
Honoring the Past
Prime Minister Donald Tusk laid flowers at the cemetery of soldiers from the Korpus Ochrony Pogranicza on September 17, commemorating the Soviet aggression 84 years ago.
Tusk stated that a secure Poland is a tribute to the soldiers who fought against Nazi and Soviet aggression in 1939.
Strong Military, United Nation
The Prime Minister emphasized that Poland’s military will soon be the largest and best-equipped in Europe, capable of resisting potential aggressors.
He stressed that soldiers, pilots, and border guards must not hesitate to intervene or open fire against aggressors, and that they have the full support of the state.
Addressing Current Threats
Tusk highlighted the importance of national unity in the face of clear threats, stating that Poland must remain united to counter potential dangers.
He warned that if Poland allows internal divisions to resurface, it may give opportunity for external forces, like Russia, to take advantage.
