A tragic car accident occurred on a local road near Olsztyn, Poland, on Thursday at around 10:00 AM, claiming the lives of two people, including a 3-month-old infant.
Accident Details
A car crashed into a roadside tree on a municipal road between Górowo Iławeckie and Kamińsk. The vehicle was carrying two adults and two children, aged three and three months.
Casualties and Rescue Efforts
The 30-year-old driver died at the scene, while a 29-year-old woman and a three-year-old child were taken to hospital by air ambulance. Despite long-term resuscitation efforts, the 3-month-old infant was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigation and Road Closure
The road remains blocked as police and prosecutors work to determine the cause of the accident. Seven fire brigade vehicles and 21 firefighters were involved in the rescue operation.
