Accident Details

A car with English registration plates and a right-hand drive struck a roadside tree on a section of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship road No. 512, between Górowo Iławeckie and Kamińsk, on Thursday, September 18, just before 10 am.

The 30-year-old male driver died at the scene despite resuscitation efforts. A 3-month-old infant was also resuscitated for over an hour but was pronounced dead after unsuccessful attempts to restore vital functions.

Rescue Efforts and Casualties

Emergency services received the incident report just before 10 am. Seven firefighting units, including 21 firefighters, participated in the rescue operations, along with medical teams and a helicopter from the Air Ambulance Service.

A woman and a 3-year-old child were taken to the hospital. The woman was conscious at the scene, while the man and the two children were unconscious.

Investigation

The police are investigating the cause of the accident under the supervision of the prosecutor. Initial findings suggest the family was traveling in a Nissan with English registration plates and a right-hand drive when the accident occurred.

The road was blocked for several hours to allow for rescue operations and police procedures.
