Motorcyclist Strikes Pedestrian on Reconstructed Marszałkowska Street, Blocking Traffic

A motorcyclist collided with a pedestrian at the intersection of Marszałkowska and Królewska streets in Warsaw’s Śródmieście district at 4:07 PM, resulting in the pedestrian being hospitalized.

Incident Details

According to initial findings, the motorcyclist, riding a Suzuki, entered the intersection on a red light and struck a woman who was on the pedestrian crossing. The pedestrian sustained general bruising and was transported to a hospital.

Motorcyclist and Road Status

The motorcyclist was sober and held the required driving licenses. The incident completely blocked the passage on Marszałkowska Street towards Plac Bankowy. Emergency services, including the fire brigade, medical rescue team, police, and ZTM Traffic Control, were on the scene.

Public Transport Adjustments

Several bus lines had altered routes: Line 107 operated only towards Esperanto, while lines 151, 520, and 171 had modified routes in the direction of Metro Ratusz-Arsenał and Chomiczówka, respectively.
