Incident and Arrest
Monday, September 15, in the afternoon, municipal guards from the VII Territorial Division were patrolling the area around Plac Szembeka in Praga-Południe. Their attention was drawn to a pair of young people standing near one of the shops. The man was smoking from a pipe, and upon seeing the patrol car, he swallowed the object he was holding, handed a package to the woman, and shouted “skitraj to” while escaping on an electric scooter.
Seizure of Stolen Phones and Other Items
The guards detained the woman and called a nearby police patrol, providing a description of the fleeing man. Policemen apprehended the indicated person after a short search in the area. During further checks, four mobile phones were found on them; police checks revealed that two of them were listed as stolen. The woman had phones belonging to the man, which she claimed were “on hold.”
Further Investigation and Charges
The police also secured cash of approximately 3000 PLN, aluminum “pazłotka,” and pipes on the man. Due to the circumstances, both were detained for further procedural actions. The man provided a false address of residence; operational police officers undertook further actions at an apartment on Grochowska Street, focusing on potential drug crimes.
