US President Donald Trump shared his thoughts on Poland’s security and Ukraine conflict in a Fox News interview.
Trump on Drones and Poland’s Security
Donald Trump expressed his disappointment with Russian President Vladimir Putin, stating he has ended several wars that were thought to be unwinnable. Trump also commented on drones that entered Polish airspace, saying they “shouldn’t be so close.”
When asked about providing air defense support to Poland, Trump stated that the US is helping with intelligence and will provide assistance for peace and security after the war.
US-Poland Cooperation and Ukraine Conflict
Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that Ukraine will share its experience in combating drones with Poland. Shmyhal met with Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in Kyiv to discuss cooperation.
The two countries agreed to establish a joint group to focus on unmanned systems, which will include Polish and Ukrainian military personnel.
Trump’s Stance on Ukraine and Russia
Trump mentioned that the relationship between Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is “very bad,” with both leaders disliking each other.
