Polish weather forecasters predict a significant change in weather as African air masses move into the country, bringing warm temperatures and sunny conditions over the weekend.
Friday’s Weather
According to forecasts from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management, Friday morning will be mostly cloudy across the country. The warmest temperatures will be in the southwestern and central regions, while more clouds and light rain showers will appear in other areas. Temperatures will rise to 19°C in the northeastern part of the country and in the Podhale region, while reaching up to 26°C in the southwestern part.
Weekend Weather
On Saturday, it will be sunny and very warm across the country as warm African air masses move in. The maximum temperature will range from 23 to 25°C in northern Poland and along the coast, to 27-29°C in the central and southern parts of the country. Some areas will experience gusty winds, with wind speeds reaching up to 65 km/h in mountainous areas.
On Sunday, significant warming is expected, with sunny and warm weather prevailing across most of the country, with temperatures even reaching 28°C. However, more clouds and local rain showers are expected in the northwestern part, with lower temperatures ranging from 18 to 23°C.
Upcoming Weather Changes
A significant change in weather is expected to occur on Monday night, as a cold front moves in from the west. The first days of the new week will be much cooler, with typical autumn weather returning, featuring more frequent rain showers and cloudy skies. Temperatures will be around 10°C, not exceeding 18°C at their warmest.
