Drone Found in Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, Poland: Police Report

A drone-like object was discovered in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship on September 20, prompting a police investigation and involvement of military and prosecution authorities.

Incident Details

The object, found in a field about 50 meters from buildings in the Gmina Korsze, was reported to police on Saturday, September 20, around 2 PM local time.

Police and Prosecution Response

Police secured the scene and the object, notifying the Olsztyn District Prosecutor’s Office and the Military Gendarmerie. The incident is under investigation.

Recent Airspace Incidents

This find follows a recent incident where several Russian drones entered Polish airspace on September 9-10. Some were intercepted by Polish and allied aircraft, with one building damaged in Lublin Voivodeship.
