Modernization Plans for Warsaw Eastern Railway Station
Warsaw’s Eastern Railway Station is set to undergo a major modernization by the end of next year, with a budget of four billion zloty. The renovation includes replacing tracks and switches, introducing modern passenger information systems, and covering all platforms.
The modernization aims to improve the station’s accessibility, including the addition of ramps, elevators, and pedestrian crossings. The project is expected to be completed by 2029.
Part of Larger Railway Line Upgrade
The modernization of Warsaw Eastern Railway Station is part of a larger upgrade of the diameter line running through the center of Warsaw. Work on the tunnel is expected to begin around 2030.
