Copenhagen Airport Closed Due to Drone Sightings

Copenhagen Airport halted all flights on Monday evening after spotting several unidentified drones over the airfield.

Cause of Disruption

Copenhagen Airport suspended all arrivals and departures on Monday, September 22, evening due to the detection of unidentified objects over the airport in the Danish capital.

Drone Sightings

Local police reported spotting two to four large drones. The airport management confirmed that flights were halted due to the drones circling over the airport.

Investigation

The police are investigating the incident. According to Lise Agerley Kurstein, head of communications at Copenhagen Airport, it is unclear how long the investigation will take.
