The incident occurred on Sunday, September 21, between ul. Kasprzaka and Kalankiewicza in Elbląg. The 13-year-old, who had a bicycle card, was riding an electric scooter when they hit the 6-year-old boy, who was on a regular scooter.

Neither child was wearing a protective helmet. The police were called to the scene and secured the 13-year-old’s electric scooter. The officers reminded everyone of the importance of wearing protective helmets when riding electric scooters or bicycles.

In Poland, children aged 10 to 18 need a bicycle card to ride an electric scooter on public roads. Those under 10 cannot ride electric scooters on public roads, even with adult supervision.
