Polish President Promotes Autobiography Aggressively, Critics Say

Andrzej Duda, former Polish President, has been actively promoting his autobiography, “To ja,” sparking criticism that he’s being too pushy about the book’s promotion.

Book Promotion Efforts

Andrzej Duda’s autobiographical book, “To ja,” was released on August 6, the last day of his presidency. Since then, he has been giving interviews to various media outlets, including Bogdan Rymanowski, Weronika Kostrzewska, and Żurnalista, where he discusses the book and mentions that it can only be purchased through his official website.

Duda has also been conducting author meetings, with upcoming events scheduled for October in Niepołomice and Skierniewice. On his official website, he showcased how he signs ordered copies of the book for fans.

Criticism of Overpromotion

However, some politicians familiar with Duda have expressed that he is promoting the book too aggressively. One politician stated, “I don’t even need to watch another interview or recording of Andrzej on Kanał Zero; I know he’ll be advertising his book. He’s already doing it everywhere.”

Another critic noted that Duda’s behavior is perceived as overly pushy, saying, “He’s promoting this book too aggressively.”

Personal Finances

According to Duda’s latest financial disclosure, he earned around 304,000 PLN (approximately) in the previous year. He and his wife own a 132-square-meter apartment and a 325-square-meter plot of land.

Duda has about 150,000 PLN in bank accounts and a 85,000 PLN insurance policy. However, he still has to pay off nearly 500,000 PLN in mortgage debt as of the end of March this year.
