Warsaw: Aggressive Man Attacks Female Passenger on Bus

A violent incident occurred on a Warsaw bus on September 20, where a shirtless man verbally abused and physically attacked a Ukrainian woman and her defender.

Incident Details

The incident took place on a bus in Warsaw on Saturday, September 20. A passenger, not wearing a shirt, began insulting an elderly Ukrainian woman. Zenobia Żaczek, an activist from the Committee for the Defense of Tenants’ Rights, stood up for the woman.

Żaczek wrote on social media that she told the man he did not represent Poles and was a “scoundrel.” The man then started insulting her and hit her in the face. Her partner pushed the man out of the bus and later shared photos and videos showing Żaczek with blood on her face.

Police Response

The police learned about the incident from social media. After reviewing the material, they decided to contact the victim, Zenobia Żaczek. She agreed to file an official complaint with the Warsaw VI District Police Headquarters in Praga-Północ.

Żaczek confirmed on social media that she went to the police station and plans to undergo a medical examination.
