A window shattered and fell from the 11th floor of the Varso Tower in Warsaw, Poland, on September 22, before noon, landing on a cafe garden.

The incident occurred at the Varso Tower, located at 69 Chmielna Street in the center of Warsaw. The broken glass fell onto a narrow sidewalk leading to a cafe garden, but fortunately, no bystanders were present at the time.
Response and Investigation
According to Katarzyna Najdzik, a representative of Varso, all safety procedures were immediately activated after the incident, and the area around the fall was cordoned off. The cause of the broken window is still unknown and will be investigated by the window manufacturer.

The Varso Tower, standing at 310 meters with 53 floors, is the tallest building in the European Union. The building’s construction was completed in 2022 at an estimated cost of 500 million euros. A viewing terrace was opened on the top floor in September 2025.
Eye Witness Account
An eyewitness, an employee of the building, described the incident as happening rapidly, stating he didn’t have time to take out his phone. He noted that the area was already secured, and no one was injured.
