Poland is experiencing a drop in temperature as a cold polar marine air mass moves in, with warmer weather expected over the weekend.
Current Weather Conditions
According to reports from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW), this week (September 22-28) will see a cooling trend due to the influx of cold polar marine air. Autumnal weather will start to make itself known from Tuesday, with increased cloud cover across a larger area of Poland.
The maximum temperature will range from 11 degrees Celsius in the northern part of Silesia, through the Kielce region, southern Masovia, to northern Lublin, and around 14-16 degrees Celsius in the northwestern part of the country and in the south.
The warmest temperatures will be in the southern extremes of Podkarpacie, where thermometers will reach up to 21 degrees Celsius.
Weekend Weather Forecast
The weekend is expected to bring warmer weather, with Saturday being mostly sunny across the country. Synopticians do not expect any precipitation, with only a slight chance of weak rain in the southern extremes.
The maximum temperature on Saturday will range from 15 degrees Celsius by the sea to 19 degrees Celsius in the south. The wind will be weak, occasionally moderate, from easterly directions.
Long-Term Weather Forecast
Synopticians have informed about the weather forecast for the upcoming weeks. In the third decade of September and the first half of October, the average minimum temperatures will range from 5 to 12 degrees Celsius, and the average maximum temperatures will range from 13 to 19 degrees Celsius.
The average temperature will range from 8 to 15 degrees Celsius.
