Background: Previous Incident During Presidential Debate
The incident is reminiscent of a similar event during the presidential campaign, when Nawrocki was seen taking a substance during a debate. At the time, there were speculations about the nature of the substance, but it was later revealed to be snus, a type of nicotine gum.
Pawel Szefernaker, head of the IPN, clarified that Nawrocki had used snus to stay awake during the debate.
Reactions from Politicians
Eurodeputy Krzysztof Brejza reacted to the incident, saying he would intervene with the President’s office to determine the nature of Nawrocki’s role and responsibilities.
Brejza’s wife, Dorota Brejza, also commented on the incident, expressing shock and disappointment at Nawrocki’s behavior, saying “Nikt normalny się tak nie zachowuje” (“No normal person behaves like that”).
