Warsaw Police Arrest 38-Year-Old Man After Bus Attack

Warsaw police arrested a 38-year-old Polish citizen on Tuesday in Marek, at his workplace. The man is accused of attacking a passenger on bus line 190 on September 20.

The Incident

The incident involved a 38-year-old man who was allegedly insulting and verbally abusing an elderly Ukrainian woman on the bus. When Zenobia Żaczek, a local activist, stood up for the woman, the man began insulting her as well, and then hit her in the face.

Police Investigation

The police learned about the incident through social media, where Żaczek posted pictures and videos of the incident, including footage of blood on her face. The police then contacted Żaczek, who agreed to file a formal complaint.

Victim’s Statement and Next Steps

Żaczek confirmed on social media that she went to the police station and plans to undergo a medical examination.
