Warsaw’s Traditional Crafts on Display Along the Vistula River

An outdoor exhibition showcasing eight Warsaw workshops, featuring traditional crafts such as ceramics, goldsmithing, and boat building, is on display along the Vistula River until October 2.

Exhibition Overview

The outdoor exhibition “Nurt tradycji: rzemiosło z brzegów Wisły” (“Current of Tradition: Crafts from the Vistula River Banks”) is located on the Vistula River Boulevards, next to the Copernicus Science Center.

The exhibition, prepared by the City of Warsaw and Projekt Pracownie, features the stories of eight Warsaw workshops, showcasing their crafts and the people behind them.

The exhibition includes workshops such as Kłosy, Fenek, Miasto Szkutnia, Schiffers Jewellery, Lekka, Siostry Plotą, designer Marta Ruta, and carpenter Jakub Przyborowski.

These workshops represent a wide range of traditional Warsaw crafts, including ceramics, jewelry making, boat building and renovation, basket weaving, and carpentry.

Partnerships and Educational Aspects

The exhibition is organized by the City of Warsaw and Projekt Pracownie, with partners including the Wisła District and the Museum of Warsaw’s Praga District.

The Museum of Warsaw’s Praga District has added an educational aspect to the exhibition, including a presentation of the PraRzemka Craft Workshop and tools donated by Praga masters.
