Polish President Meets Trump in the US

Polish President Karol Nawrocki met with US President Donald Trump in New York, discussing Trump’s speech at the UN General Assembly and Poland-US relations.

Nawrocki’s Meeting with Trump

Karol Nawrocki, the Polish President, visited the United States from September 20 for a few days, during which he participated in the 80th session of the UN General Assembly. On Tuesday, Nawrocki and Trump met in person, discussing Trump’s speech at the UN General Assembly.

Nawrocki confirmed that the meeting took place during a press conference in New York. He stated that he praised Trump’s speech as “excellent” and that Trump mentioned the situation in Poland and Central Eastern Europe.

Nawrocki’s Speech at the UN

During his speech at the UN General Assembly, Nawrocki emphasized that Russia must end the war and take full responsibility for it. He stressed that those responsible for international crimes must be tried in the proper courts.

Nawrocki also noted that the world has changed significantly since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and that the international order is crumbling. He called for concrete actions to be taken, stating that “this is the last moment” to do so.

Other Events During Nawrocki’s Visit

Nawrocki’s visit to the US included a meeting with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and participation in the 5th Summit of the International Crimean Platform. He also took part in a high-level debate at the UN Security Council on artificial intelligence and international peace and security.
