A city bus and a ride-hailing car collided on Łazienkowski Bridge, causing major traffic disruptions without injuries.
Incident Details
Around 5 PM, a collision occurred at the entrance to Łazienkowski Bridge from the Praga and Wał Miedzeszyński sides, involving a city bus (line 188) and a private car operating through a ride-hailing app. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the incident was classified as a minor collision.
Cause and Aftermath
Investigations revealed that the ride-hailing car, traveling from the National Stadium along Wał Miedzeszyński toward the bridge, merged into the bus’s lane, which was heading toward Ochota. Upon impact, the car spun 180 degrees and stopped in the opposite direction. The car carried the driver and their family, while the bus had multiple passengers. No medical intervention was required.
Traffic and Resolution
Initially, two of the three lanes toward Ochota were blocked, causing significant delays. An inspector from the Municipal Bus Company arrived, determined the ride-hailing driver was at fault, and proposed signing a statement of responsibility. Police were not involved, and the matter was settled as a road collision.
