Incident Details
Gliwice police disclosed on Thursday (September 25) an intervention involving a 16-year-old girl in early September. The girl, lying on a sidewalk in the late evening, raised concerns among passing medical responders, who reported her erratic behavior.
According to authorities, the teenager shouted obscenities at the responders, grabbed and kicked them, and struck one in the face. Despite the assault, medical personnel continued providing assistance. Police were called to the scene and had to use restraint techniques and handcuffs due to the girl’s aggressive behavior. She was later transported to a hospital, where she continued acting aggressively.
Legal Consequences
The case has been referred to the Family Division of the Gliwice District Court, which will decide on further actions.
Police Appeal
Police emphasized that attacking medical responders or other public officials is a criminal offense. They warned that underage alcohol abuse can lead to loss of self-control and legal consequences. “Such incidents highlight the dangers of alcohol misuse by minors, which not only endangers individuals but also undermines the security and health protection systems we all rely on,” the statement concluded.
