Veteran journalist Jolanta Pieńkowska bid an emotional farewell to TVN24 viewers, thanking them for 20 years of support.

Jolanta Pieńkowska said her final goodbyes to TVN24 viewers during the “Fakty po południu” program. “I’m not retiring,” she clarified, “I just want time for myself and my loved ones.” She expressed gratitude to her colleagues and the audience, acknowledging their role in her career. The studio erupted in applause as colleagues surrounded her with flowers.

Career Highlights

Pieńkowska has worked for TVN Group since 2006, hosting numerous programs, interviews, and special editions, including the French election night and the U.S. presidential inauguration. She also served as a correspondent in New York.

Professional Background

An acting graduate from PWST in Warsaw, Pieńkowska previously worked as a flight attendant, an assistant to the U.S. ambassador in Poland, and a translator for George H.W. Bush. She was also the editor-in-chief of “Mamo, To Ja” magazine and co-owned an advertising agency. Her career in television began in 1988 at a local Warsaw station, followed by roles at TVP (1990-2004) and Radio Trójka, and as editor-in-chief of “Twój Styl” magazine.
