Final Rhino SPA Event
On Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 14:00, Warsaw Zoo will host its last “Rhino SPA” of the season, showcasing the medical training and skincare routine of Shikari, a female Indian rhinoceros. This event marks the end of the weekly Thursday afternoon series, concluding the year’s visits to the rhino enclosure.
Care and Maintenance
During the event, caretakers will demonstrate daily health checks for Shikari, including oral cavity inspections, skin condition assessments, and hoof examinations. The program also features skincare treatments, such as applying kaolin clay and specialized ointments to sensitive areas, all conducted with respect for the animal’s needs and active cooperation.
Event Details
The session will take place at Shikari’s enclosure in the rhino zone. Participation is included with a valid Zoo entrance ticket; no additional registration is required. The event begins at 14:00.
Ongoing Collection Drive
Concurrently, the Zoo is running a seasonal collection of acorns, walnuts, and hazelnuts from September 20–28. This initiative supports the feeding of the Zoo’s animals, with donations accepted at designated points within the garden.
