Unusual leaflets with blue triangles and broken Polish found in Lubusz. Officials explain

Authorities confirm that leaflets dropped from a helium-filled balloon are part of German military exercises.

Unusual leaflets in Lubusz

“A trial leaflet from the Bundeswehr that was distributed via a balloon filled with helium. With its help, the Bundeswehr is practicing how residents react in easily accessible areas” – written on the leaflet (original spelling). “If you find this leaflet, please inform us where you found it at the address below. We also ask for information about which symbol is on the leaflet so that we can improve our work. For environmental protection, please throw the leaflet into the nearest trash can. Thank you for your cooperation!” – we read.

Element of German alert system exercises

As the Lubusz Voivodeship Office announced on social media, the leaflet with a blue triangle “is part of exercises by the German alert system.” “It does not pose a threat. As part of the exercises, leaflets in Polish and German were dropped from a balloon filled with helium. Due to windy weather, some of them may have moved onto Polish territory – including the Lubusz Voivodeship area” – it was communicated. “If you want, send information about the location where you found it to the email address provided on the leaflet” – the officials informed.
