Climber’s stunt
A 24-year-old Frenchman, Titouan Leduc, scaled the Varso Tower in Warsaw’s city center on Saturday (September 27). Known for similar stunts, he previously climbed the Presidential Hotel in June. Leduc is the first person to reach the top of the Varso Tower without any safety equipment.
Aktion of the services
The operation involved five fire brigades, including a specialized high-altitude team from Fire and Rescue Unit 7, as reported by Miejski Reporter. Firefighters secured the area around the skyscraper to ensure public safety. Police officers were already waiting at the top when Leduc arrived and arrested him.
Investigation underway
The Warsaw Police Command confirmed the incident. “We will analyze the evidence and plan an interrogation, but as he is a foreign national, a translator will be required,” said Lt. Bartłomiej Śniadała from the Warsaw police press office. The Varso Tower, located on Chmielna Street, is the tallest building in the European Union, standing at 310 meters with 53 floors.
