Buggy driver loses control, crashes into tree; four injured, one trapped

A buggy carrying four people crashed into a tree in a forest complex in Somianka, leaving all occupants injured, with one pinned under the vehicle.

Accident details

A buggy lost control for unknown reasons, striking a tree and rolling onto its side. One person was trapped under the overturned vehicle, while the other three managed to exit on their own.

Emergency response

Three fire brigades, a medical rescue team, and an air ambulance crew were dispatched to the scene. All four injured individuals received medical assistance.

Authorities secured the area and conducted rescue operations until medical procedures for the victims were completed.

Official statement

“On Sunday (28.09) at 17:07, we received a report of an incident in Somianka. Two teams from JRG Wyszków and one from OSP Somianka were deployed. It was determined that the buggy driver, traveling on a forest road near a ranger station, lost control and hit a tree. The vehicle carried four people. Upon arrival, three individuals with various injuries were outside the vehicle, while one was trapped underneath. Firefighters secured the scene, provided access to the trapped person, and facilitated safe evacuation for the medical team.” — Wyszków County Command of the State Fire Service.

Investigation

The police are investigating the causes and circumstances of the accident.
