Largest Attack on Kyiv in Months
In the night between Saturday and Sunday, Russia launched a massive attack on Kyiv, deploying around 500 drones and 40 other missiles. The assault damaged residential buildings, industrial facilities, and sparked fires. Debris from drones fell on streets and vehicles, injuring at least 14 people and killing four, including a child. This was one of the largest Russian attacks on Kyiv since the start of the full-scale war. Air raid alerts were issued across multiple Ukrainian regions.
Poland and Allies Scramble Fighters
Polish and allied fighter jets were scrambled in response to Russia’s attacks on Ukraine, as part of precautionary measures. Airspace near Lublin and Rzeszów was closed. The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces stated that on-duty fighter pairs were activated, and ground-based air defense and radar systems were placed on high alert. These actions aim to secure airspace and protect citizens, particularly in areas near threatened regions. Authorities are monitoring the situation, with forces ready for immediate response.
