In the early hours of September 27, 26 legally parked cars were vandalized in Warsaw’s Stegna district, with some vehicles suffering severe damage.
Significant Damage to Vehicles
Six cars sustained major damage, including shattered windows, torn-off mirrors, and one even had a park bench placed on its hood. Other vehicles showed minor damage, with reports indicating that someone walked on car roofs and tore off license plates.
Residents Fear for Safety
Local residents highlight that this act of vandalism is not an isolated incident, pointing to frequent altercations and alcohol-related disturbances in the area. They recall a violent attack in July involving a machete near Burgaskiej Street and argue that surveillance cameras could help deter such incidents, but their calls for action remain unanswered.
Police Appeal for Information
Authorities are urging anyone with footage from car or home security cameras near Neseberskiej and Burgaskiej Streets between 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM to come forward. Any information that could aid in identifying the perpetrators is crucial for the investigation.
