A fire erupted around 6:30 PM at a metal-clad building on Bartycka Street, which housed an electric bicycle service. Upon arrival, firefighters found the entire structure engulfed in flames, with electric bicycles and stored batteries inside.
Containment and Risks
Heavy smoke spread to adjacent spaces, including a warehouse and storage units. Firefighters secured the area and began extinguishing efforts, while simultaneously cooling heated batteries to prevent reignition. Six fire crews, supported by the city’s operational team and the Warsaw Provincial Fire Brigade, are on-site.
Current Status
No injuries have been reported. Efforts are now focused on fully extinguishing the fire and monitoring battery temperatures. The cause of the blaze remains unknown, pending further investigation after firefighting operations conclude.
