PiS regains lead in latest poll, alarming ruling coalition

Law and Justice (PiS) overtakes Civic Coalition (KO) in a new survey, signaling a psychological blow to the governing coalition.

PiS reclaims top spot

Law and Justice (PiS), which trailed behind Civic Coalition (KO) at the start of September, has now surpassed its main rival in the latest poll. PiS leads with 32.87% support (+1.24 p.p.), while KO drops to 31.12% (-1.48 p.p.). Though the margin is narrow, PiS reclaiming the lead is a concerning signal for KO, with political analyst Sergiusz Trzeciak noting the psychological impact.

Confederation holds third place but sees a slight decline in support, from 12.55% to 11.81%. This remains lower than the party’s presidential election candidate’s support, which stood at 14.81%.

Braun’s party surges to fifth place

Confederation of the Polish Crown, led by Grzegorz Braun, is the biggest gainer in late September, rising from 5.11% to 6.66% (+1.55 p.p.). This places Braun’s party in fifth position, surpassing Together, which fell from 5.49% to 4.52%. Trzeciak notes that parties like PSL, Confederation, and Braun’s group have growth potential, as some supporters may not disclose their preferences in polls. New Left also lost support, dropping to 6.68% (-0.64 p.p.) but retaining fourth place.

Minor coalition partners struggle

Poland 2050, led by Szymon Hołowni, gained slight support, rising from 3.45% to 4.14% (+0.69 p.p.). Polish People’s Party (PSL) saw a minimal increase to 1.60% (+0.12 p.p.). Both parties, previously part of the Third Way coalition, remain below the electoral threshold. Only 0.60% of respondents supported other groups. The survey was conducted by Pollster Institute between September 27–28, 2025, using the CAWI method on a sample of 1,026 adult Poles.
