According to Radio France Internationale, the U.S. president plans to pressure Netanyahu to accept a 21-point plan aimed at ending the war in Gaza. A joint statement for the media is planned for 19:15 following the meeting.

White House on Potential “Dissatisfaction” from Israel and Hamas

The White House states that Israel and Hamas are “very close” to reaching an agreement. “To achieve a reasonable agreement for both sides, both parties must give up something, and perhaps they will leave the negotiating table dissatisfied, but ultimately, this is how we will end this conflict,” said White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt in Fox News. Hope for success is also held by Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff.
