A 60‑year‑old Polish man was arrested on Thursday in Przasnysz County, ending almost two decades of successfully evading law enforcement.

Police arrested a 60‑year‑old man in one of the houses in Przasnysz County on Thursday.

Policing Units Involved

The operation involved officers from the Radom Provincial Police Headquarters, the Independent Counter‑terrorism Unit in Radom and Olsztyn, the Central Counter‑terrorism Unit “BOA”, and the Przasnysz County Police Headquarters.

Charges and Warrants

The man was pursued under two arrest warrants expanded by European Arrest Warrants for armed robbery involving firearms committed at the beginning of the 21st century.

Evading Law Enforcement

Since 2006, he avoided capture by cutting all family and social ties and leading a nocturnal lifestyle to reduce the risk of detection.

He has been taken into custody and faces up to 20 years in prison.
