A control system malfunction at Trocka station has halted service on four M2 line stations, with trains operating on a shortened route.
Technical Failure and Service Disruptions
A technical malfunction in the traffic control system at Trocka station on Warsaw’s M2 metro line has forced the closure of four stations: Bródno, Kondratowicza, Zacisze, and Trocka. Trains are now running on a shortened route, only reaching as far as Targówka Mieszkaniowa.
The failure was reported after 9:00 AM, and a repair team has been dispatched to address the issue. Warsaw Metro authorities are working to restore full service as quickly as possible.
Alternative Transportation Arrangements
The Public Transport Authority (Zarząd Transportu Publicznego) has implemented substitute services, directing passengers from the closed stations to surface transport. A temporary bus line, labeled “Z Za Metro,” has been activated to assist commuters.
Passengers have been notified through in-train announcements and station bulletins about the service changes and alternative transport options.
Passenger Communication and Future Plans
Some passengers were informed in trains that they would need to disembark due to service interruptions. Metro officials have stated their commitment to resuming normal operations on the entire M2 line as soon as possible.
WTP (Warsaw Public Transport) has also issued updates, confirming that technical issues in the Trocka station area are causing ongoing disruptions.
