An 31‑year‑old Omani citizen and a 35‑year‑old Polish woman were seized in Warsaw’s Śródmieście area, where police seized 14 kg of marijuana.
Police raid in a drug‑storage facility
Police from the Capital Police Department’s Drug Crime Unit entered a specially adapted apartment in Śródmieście, designed for storing narcotics, and discovered that the premises were used by people involved in drug trafficking rather than being permanently occupied.
Evidence gathered
During the search officers seized significant amounts of psychoactive substances, electronic equipment, scales, a vacuum sealer, and vacuum packing containers. They also found spent cannabis flower in one of the rooms.
Arrest and evidence details
Upon noticing a woman and an Omani man entering the apartment, police knocked on the door. The man, aged 31, opened it and, after resisting, was subdued. The 35‑year‑old woman was arrested for vacuum‑sealing cannabis flower with a sealing machine.
In the 31‑year‑old’s apartment, the seized cannabis flower was tested and confirmed to be marijuana, contributing to a total of 14 kg recovered.
Court decision on provisional detention
After the prosecution in Warsaw Śródmieście presented charges of substantial possession of narcotics, the court granted a three‑month provisional detention on the grounds of the evidence and the seriousness of the offence.
