Two Toyotas collide at key Ochota intersection; one car crashes onto tram track

On Thursday, 2 October at 2:25 p.m., two Toyota cars collided at the Grójecka and Wawelska junction in Warsaw’s Ochota district, sending one vehicle onto a newly upgraded tram track.

Collision details

At about 14:25, the left‑turn maneuver of a silver Toyota caused it to run into the path of a ride‑share Toyota. The second vehicle struck a tram track under renovation and hit traffic lights. There were no injuries requiring hospital transport.

Immediate response

Firefighters, medical rescue team and police arrived on scene. Medical responders examined all participants and confirmed no hospital transport was needed. Police continued to supervise traffic while gathering facts.

Intersection significance

The Grójecka & Wawelska junction is a key node in this part of Warsaw. Traffic flow was controlled by police during the incident.

Police investigation

Officers are clarifying the circumstances and the manoeuvres before the collision. Participants remained on site until the end of police operations.
