The fatal collision occurred on the county road Bajdyty‑Kosy, between the villages of Galinami and Kosy, in the Bartoszyce district of the Warmian‑Masurian Voivodeship. The accident happened on Friday, October 3, 2024, after noon.

Vehicle and Collision

According to police reports, the 27‑year‑old driver was traveling alone in an Audi when it veered off the roadway and struck a roadside tree. The impact was severe enough to cause the vehicle to disintegrate into several parts.

Immediate Response

Emergency services responded to the scene with police, a prosecutor’s supervisor, firefighters, and medical rescue teams. They conducted on‑scene examinations and secured evidence, while the driver was attempted to be revived but died on arrival.

Road Closure and Investigation
