Body of Woman Found in Żerański Canal in Białołęka

On Tuesday, September 30 at around 9:30 a.m., the body of an unidentified woman was recovered from the Żerański Canal near Brzeziny Street in Białołęka, Warsaw.

A call reporting floating remains was received before 10 a.m. Firefighters, a medical rescue team and police arrived at the site on Brzeziny Street, Białołęka, and pulled the body from the water to shore.

Firefighters secured the area and conducted the extraction, while medical staff performed initial assessments and investigators started procedural actions on the scene.

Identity Uncertain

The victim’s identity could not be established; no documents or items that could identify her were found.

Investigation and Forensic Steps

Investigators carried out necessary procedural measures, including an examination with a prosecutor present. The remains were transported to the forensic medical institute to determine causes and circumstances of death.
