From Friday evening to Monday morning, 3–6 October, drivers will be unable to use Grochowska street between Terespolska and the Wiatraczna roundabout as road workers replace the pavement, with detours and altered bus routes required.
Road Closure and Detours
From 8 p.m. on Friday, 3 October to 4 a.m. on Monday, 6 October, the section of Grochowska street between Terespolska and the Wiatraczna roundabout will be closed for asphalt replacement. The carriageway toward the roundabout will shut from the intersection with Terespolska to the intersection with Modrzewiowa, including that junction, and crossings with Międzyborska and Siennicka will also be blocked.
Drivers exiting from Terespolska or Podskarbińska can turn only onto the active carriageway of Grochowska toward Targowa. The detour will run along Zieleniecka and Washington avenues, and can also be taken via Terespolska, Stanisławowska, Dwernicki, and Wiatraczna. Access to Podskarbińska street will be provided through Zamoyskiego, Lubelska, Bliska and Żupnicza streets.
Access to Residential Properties
Residents of the 255–285 Grochowska block can enter the street via the newly paved segment from Terespolska to Międzyborska; a right‑turn sign will be installed. Those heading to the properties on Siennicka and Modrzewiowa will use Washington avenue, Grenadiers and Dobrowoj streets. The prohibition on exiting Modrzewiowa onto Grochowska does not affect residents of 213–221 Grochowska.
Milling and paving of the second carriageway are slated for the following weekend, 10–13 October; further details will be announced later.
Pavement Replacement Schedule
The new asphalt will first be laid on the carriageway toward the Wiatraczna roundabout, starting at 20:00 on Friday, 3 October. Drivers will again be able to use that section at 04:00 on Monday, 6 October. The alternative carriageway work runs from 10–13 October.
Bus Route Changes
From 20:00 on Friday, 3 October, line‑125 buses heading to Międzylesie will leave Grochowska for Terespolska, then follow Stanisławowska, Dwernicki and Wiatraczna to the roundabout before resuming their route. On 4–5 October they will operate a shorter loop to Wiatraczna.
Line‑135 buses bound for PKP Olszynka Grochowska will use Terespolska, Stanisławowska, Dwernicki and Wiatraczna to the roundabout, then Washington avenue to their Międzyborska routes. In the opposite direction, they will run from Haller Square along Washington, the roundabout and Grochowska.
Nocturnal lines N03 toward Ursynów Północny will divert from Grochowska onto Terespolska, then Stanisławowska, Dwernicki and Wiatraczna before resuming their course. Night lines N21 and N71 toward Stara Miłosna/Ułańska/Wola Grzybowska will bypass the Terespolska and Stanisławowska detours.
