Saturday Run in Warsaw: Street Closures and Transport Changes

On Saturday, 4 October, Warsaw will host the “Run Warsaw” and “Walk‑Support” events, shutting key streets and rerouting buses to accommodate the races.

Event Schedule and Routes

The capital will stage “Run Warsaw” and “Walk‑Support” on Saturday, 4 October, with the city streets shut to accommodate the races.

Participants of “Run Warsaw” start at 12:00 from Myśliwiecka and will run through Myśliwiecka, Rozbrat, Ludna, Solec, 3 Maja Avenue, Solec, Tamka, across Świętokrzyski Bridge, along Szczeciński Quay, across Poniatowski Bridge, via Jerozolimskie Avenue, Nowy Świat, Świętokrzyska, Tamka, Kruczkowski, Rozbrat, and Łazienkowska to the finish.

The “Walk‑Support” event begins at 12:15, also from Myśliwiecka, following a loop that partially overlaps the running route, going via Górnośląska, Wiejska, Matejka, Ujazdowski Avenues, Third Crosses Square, Książęca, paths of Rydz‑Śmigły Park to Rozbrat, then Myśliwiecka to finish at Kusocińskiego Avenue near Piaseczyński Canal.

Street Closures and Traffic Restrictions

Early preparations begin at 6:00 Saturday, closing Myśliwiecka from Szwoleżerów to Sedlaczyka roundabout. At 7:00, Łazienkowska is closed. Both streets reopen at 18:00.

All streets along the “Run Warsaw” and “Walk‑Support” routes will be closed from 11:30 to about 14:30. Crosswalks along the route will also be blocked, and pedestrians allowed only where and when instructed by police.

During the events, drivers cannot turn from Wisłostrada onto Ludna. At Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie, Dobra, and Topiela, from the University of Warsaw Library side, turns onto Zajęca are limited to right onto Dynasa. Lanes from Smolna to Ujazdowski Avenues, and from 3 Maja Avenue to Kruczkowski and Solec, are also closed.

Parking Restrictions

From 6:00 Saturday, parking is prohibited on 3 Maja Avenue (Wisłostrada side) and Myśliwiecka. At 8:00, restrictions also apply to Łazienkowska. Vehicles left on these streets may be towed at the owner’s expense.

On other streets along the race and march routes, parking bans will be enforced between 11:00 and 15:00.

Bus Detour Routes

From the start of operations until Myśliwiecka and Łazienkowska reopen, buses 107, 108, 131, 159, and 171 will run on altered paths.

Between 11:30 and 14:00, when other streets on the event route are closed, additional buses 106, 111, 116, 117, 118, 127, 146, 147, 158, 162, 166, 180, 503, 507, 517, and 521 will also be detoured.
