Trump Sets Deadly Deadline for Gaza Deal, Threatens ‘Hell’ if Hamas Fails

US President Donald Trump announced a Sunday midnight deadline for Hamas to accept a U.S.-Israeli Gaza proposal, warning of severe consequences and outlining a 20‑point plan, while analysts predict the group may reject the terms.

Trump Sets Deadline for Gaza Deal

On Oct. 3, President Trump posted on his platform that Hamas must accept a U.S.-Israeli proposal by the end of Sunday midnight Polish time. He warned that failure would result in severe repercussions, stating, “If I cannot reach an agreement in this last chance, Hamas will meet hell no one has seen before.”

Trump’s Rhetoric Toward Hamas

Trump described Hamas as a “brutal threat,” citing the July 7 massacre that killed over 25,000 Israelis. He pledged to “shoot” remaining fighters when ordered, urged innocent Palestinians to leave Gaza for safer areas, and suggested the deal could bring peace after 3,000 years of conflict.

Plan Details – 20‑Point Framework

The administration’s plan calls for the cessation of hostilities, disarmament of Hamas’s armed structures, release of hostages in exchange for Palestinian detainees, and temporary governance of Gaza with international actors. Trump claimed support from powerful Middle‑Eastern nations for the agreement.

Hamas’ Potential Response

Analysts say Hamas is split into factions. The BBC reports that one faction will likely reject the proposal because it demands total disarmament, the handing over of weapons, and the deployment of International Stabilization Forces—conditions the group finds unacceptable. They also want to retain hostages as leverage. Meanwhile, a second faction may accept a ceasefire even if terms remain unapproved, according to the Times of Israel.
