A 56‑year‑old Polish woman has been charged with secretly pouring cleaning agents into a colleague’s drinks at a Warsaw cleaning firm in November 2024.
Indictment Issued
Investigators concluded that Małgorzata W. repeatedly added cleaning substances to the cups and bottles used by Agnieszka T., a veteran employee, over an extended period. The act caused serious health problems for the victim.
Footage Reveals Illegal Pouring
Victim Agnieszka T. installed a hidden camera in the company’s alleyway, capturing Małgorzata pouring an unidentified liquid into her colleague’s tea. The footage was released to the public in March.
Victim’s Health Crisis
Starting in November 2024, the victim reported changes in taste and colour of the beverages, followed by stomach pains, shortness of breath, and in December, severe mouth and esophagus burns that prevented normal eating.
Forensic Findings and Sentencing
Toxicological expert analysis of the liquids found detergent compounds typical of workplace cleaning solutions. Małgorzata faces a potential prison sentence ranging from three to twenty years.
Company Cooperation with Police
The cleaning firm, Impel from Wrocław, denied knowledge of the misconduct, stating that it had cooperated with police and had no information about any ongoing investigation before the case became public.
