Suspect Arrested on Temporary Detention After Stop Robbery

A 40‑year‑old suspect was arrested and placed under temporary three‑month detention following a robbery at a Warsaw bus stop, after police from Wawer secured evidence and brought him before court.

Robbery at a Warsaw Bus Stop

A robbery occurred at a bus stop near Mrówcza Street, where a victim sustained multiple injuries and was hospitalized. The perpetrator seized the victim’s money, amounting to 1,000 zł, and also took green jewelry chains. The attacker was described as a complete stranger who assaulted, struck, and robbed the victim without provocation.

Police Response and Arrest

Policja Operacyjna Wawer received the complaint immediately and began collecting evidence. They identified the suspect as a 40‑year‑old man who did not reside in the area and led a transient lifestyle. After confirming his identity, officers detained him and seized his clothing and footwear from the scene.

Charges and Temporary Detention

The suspect was taken to the District Prosecutor’s Office of Warsaw‑Praga South, where he was charged with robbery, bodily harm, and endangering a person with significant bodily injury. The prosecutor requested, and the court granted, a three‑month temporary detention, placing the suspect in custody pending trial.

The investigation is overseen by the District Prosecutor’s Office of Warsaw‑Praga South. The suspect remains in custody while the case proceeds through the court system.
