IBRiS, commissioned by Radio ZET, surveyed 1,073 Poles on 26–27 September 2025. Overall, 72.3 % favored shooting down Russian military aircraft that intrude NATO airspace, while 16.7 % opposed and 11 % were undecided.
Party‑by‑Party Breakdown
Support varied across parties: 65 % of Civic Coalition supporters, 60 % of Poland 2050 supporters, 67 % of Confederation voters, and 77 % of Law and Justice voters favored shooting down Russian aircraft.
Left Voters Most Radical
95 % of left‑leaning respondents answered positively, the highest endorsement among all groups, according to the survey results.
Recent Russian Aircraft Incursions
At the end of September, five Russian aircraft—including Su‑30, Su‑35 and three MiG‑31—flew near Latvian airspace, prompting two Hungarian Gripen intercepts. A Russian plane also crossed over a German frigate in the Baltic Sea.
Recent Drone Activity Near Poland
In September, 19 Russian drones entered Polish airspace, and recent reports indicate drones disrupted operations at airports in Denmark, Germany, and Norway.
