“Is It Idiotic”. Pilot Night Prohibition in Warsaw

City authorities are working on a pilot night prohibition in two Warsaw districts. The idea displeases some councilors who argue the ban should cover the entire city. During the debate, Jan Menczew cited Jana Pawła II Street, suggesting that after 10 pm alcohol could be sold on one side of the street but not on the other. He questioned the purpose and rationality of the pilot. Councilor Alicja Żebrowska complained that these districts border others, implying neighboring areas would bear the cost of the ban.
