Renault Stuck Between Bus and City Bus on Grójecka

On Monday, 6 October, a Renault was trapped between a Mercedes and a city bus on Grójecka Street, delaying traffic in Warsaw’s afternoon rush.

Collision in Afternoon Rush

Three vehicles collided on Grójecka Street during the afternoon peak, including a city bus. The exchange left the outbound lanes impassable.

Vehicles Involved

The crash involved a Renault passenger car, a Mercedes delivery van, and a municipal bus. The Renault first struck the Mercedes, then slid into the bus, becoming wedged between them.

Rescue Operation

Firefighters were called to free the Renault driver, who could not exit the vehicle. After a rapid assessment, the bus driver reversed the bus, allowing the woman to open the door and exit on her own.

Traffic Disruption

During the rescue, two outbound lanes of Grójecka Street were closed, creating serious delays for motorists. The remaining lane operated at reduced speed.

Aftermath

The police led further on‑scene actions and investigations. The incident caused significant congestion and highlighted the vulnerability of drivers in multi‑vehicle collisions.
